What You’ll Own

Team Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, coach, and hold a team of preparers accountable for quality, output, and deadlines
  • Run weekly check-ins and quarterly development conversations that actually drive performance
  • Address issues early and set clear expectations around standards and delivery
  • Create a culture where accountability and support go hand in hand

Workflow Management & Delivery

  • Take full ownership of weekly workflow allocation, capacity planning, and job progression
  • Assign work strategically based on skillset and availability
  • Monitor job status daily using workflow systems
  • Identify bottlenecks and remove roadblocks fast
  • Keep jobs moving and ensure all deadlines are consistently met even during peak season

Technical Review & Quality Control

  • Conduct first-level reviews with a sharp eye for accuracy, compliance, and technical quality
  • Ensure work is fully review-ready before Partner sign-off
  • Maintain fast, efficient turnaround times (target: under 3 business days)
  • Uphold the highest standards of tax compliance and file quality

Coaching, Training & Development

  • Provide real-time, on-the-job coaching during reviews
  • Deliver targeted training sessions and workflow refreshers
  • Identify skill gaps and actively develop your team
  • Support career progression from Preparer through to Senior and beyond

Process, Systems & Compliance

  • Champion firm processes ensuring no shortcuts and full system adoption
  • Maintain consistency in job stages, documentation, and audit trails
  • Ensure templates, checklists, and compliance standards are followed every time
  • Drive discipline and structure across all workflow activities
